who we are

ASC is an investment group and financial advisory firm that provides a range of financial services such as corporate advice and fund management services, superannuation investment and wealth management. Our corporate advice activities revolves around equity capital market in both listing and listed investment opportunities. ASC services a broad range of individual and institutional investors and including fast growth Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across a diverse spectrum of industries in the Asia Pacific region. Mr John J Foley
Principal Consultant and Director

John was admitted to practice as a barrister in New South Wales in 1971, and subsequently admitted in the jurisdictions of Victoria, ACT, and the High Court of Australia. He was also called to the Irish Bar and admitted as a Member of the Honorable Society of King’s Inns in Dublin. In total he has practiced as a Barrister for 38 years. John is also currently the Chairman of Directors of Citigold Corporation Limited, a publicly listed company on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).  It is also listed in Dubai and Frankfurt and trades as an A.D.R. in New York. The company trades on the ASX as part of the index of the ASX top 300 companies in Australia. He has developed an interest in the Charters Towers Goldfields in far North Queensland and was a founding director of the Australian Gold Council, the representative body for the industry. He is a long standing member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) and is listed in Who’s Who in Business in Australia.  John previously lectured for two years in law at Macquarie University, Sydney. Through his large network of connections with people in government, industry and the investment community, he has extensive experience in negotiations and representations with both State and Federal Governments. As a professional advocate, he has represented numerous bodies before various Commissions, Tribunals and Courts.

Dr Victor Wan
Principal Consultant and Director

holds a Doctorate degree (PhD) in Finance from the University of New South Wales and a Masters degree in Law (LLM) from the University of Melbourne , and has read for a post-doctoral program at UCLA. He is a legal practitioner of the High Court of Australia, and a practicing member of CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Securities Institute of Australia and is a Registered Migration Agent. Victor has extensive experience in corporate finance, financial planning and commercial law in Australia and overseas, having acted as advisor to a number of listed and unlisted mid-cap companies in diverse areas such as strategic business planning, listing and other equity capital market services, fund raisings and private equity capital, legal compliance and forensic services. He has served as a director of publicly listed and private companies, and has held board positions in several government organizations. Victor has presented papers in professional seminars and conferences, and has lectured part-time at the NSW College of Law in the professional education lecture series. He has held professorial appointments in Australia and overseas and is currently a visiting full professor of a university. He is a Global Partner of the International Management Centers Association which conducts MBA and doctorate programs accredited by the U.K. Government. He is Convener and Chairman of the Forensics Discussion Group sponsored by CPA Australia and a Board Member of the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association.

Mr Dan Lanskey
Principal Consultant and Director

Mr Lanskey holds a post graduate Business Degree from Griffith University in Entrepreneurship and Venture Development.  He has over 15 years’ experience in Senior Management in the Public Markets and has been a Director and/or Chairman of ASX, OTCQX and TSXV listed Companies. He has been involved in numerous start-up Companies across various industries including Information Technology, Oil and Gas, Mining and Real Estate. Working with an extensive capital market network across the Asia Pacific Region and North America has resulted in numerous successful capital raisings via Private Placements for Pre IPO-funds, Initial Public Offerings and Reverse Takeovers of existing Public Companies.

Mr Garry Taylor
Principal Consultant

holds a Masters degree in Law and a Double Masters degree in Commerce (Organisational Behaviour & Industrial Relations) and has read for a degree in Commerce (Labour Law & Economics) (Merit) and a degree in Industrial Arts (Engineering & Metallurgy). He also has a diploma in Teaching and a Company Director’s diploma. He is a Certified Commercial Mediator and Accredited Privacy Auditor. Prior to his present role as a Director of Croesus Management Group, Garry was General Counsel and Head – Legal Compliance of the Sydney Institute of Management. Previously, Garry was Managing Director of an international Investment Bank based in Sydney with offices in Vancouver , New York , London , Dublin , Hong Kong and Singapore . He was also Principal of a firm of corporate and industrial law specialists. Those activities involved him in international capital raisings for corporations, organisational assessment and restructuring, industrial/employee relations, corporate and financial structuring, industrial and corporate mediation, negotiation and drafting of contracts, and related litigation. His previous experience includes: Director of a London based Merchant Bank; Chief Executive of the largest Australian Employers Association in the road transport industry; Executive Director of a Marine Insurance company; Executive Director of a Commercial Finance company; Director of a Medical Research company; Chief Executive of a group of companies in the gold mining and oil & gas industries; Managing Director of a financial services company that traded foreign currencies and delivered leading-edge EFTPOS technology; Executive Director of a Technology Transfer company; Managing Director of a management consulting firm. Garry has presented numerous papers in professional seminars and conferences, and is a part-time lecturer in Law. He is a Member of the Standards Australia Corporate Governance Committee and a Board Member of the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association.

Mr Jason Haks
Principal Consultant

Jason Haks has over twenty-five years of experience in internet technology and online system architecture. In the 90s, one of his first major milestones was having founded and developed a successful technology company that helped pave the way for global e-commerce. He achieved customer credit card transactions and payments in real time through institutional banks. He has gained great success as a payment gateway innovator and online e-transaction pioneer. Jason has extensive knowledge and experience with areas such as Internet Service Provision (ISP), interactive multiplayer game sales & development, also communication and mobile device software development. His progress in these fields has provided intuitive insights into technology sectors across several countries in Asia Pacific and North America. Due to his decades of experience and noteworthy accomplishments in internet technology and sales & marketing, Jason has been a sort after keynote speaker over the past 15 years with hundreds of successful public speaking engagements. With over 30 years of ‘in the trenches’ self-employment, Jason finds simple, innovative solutions to complex problems using Internet technologies.
